Ice Cream Bread

Yesterday, a friend of mine reposted a recipe for Ice Cream Bread on Facebook, so I decided to check it out, and try making it. There are only two ingredients, which makes it very easy to make, and it turned out pretty good.

You can check out the recipe here, if you want to try it.

All you need for it are your favorite ice cream and self-rising flour. Just follow the recipe and it should come out right.

Here are some pictures of the process, when I made it.

A Great Find At a Local Thrift Store

I was recently at a thrift store, shopping around, and I found this cookie pastry kit. I love making cookies, so I thought this was perfect for me.

I hope to use it for the holidays this year, and maybe for my birthday (it's coming up in a couple months!!).

Thrifts stores are great, because they have some of the best stuff at reasonable (usually) prices. I have gotten many things from these stores, in great condition.

So, I am really looking forward to making cookies and whatnot with this thing. It looks like a great tool to have in the kitchen, and I am glad I found it.

Well, that's all for now. More to come later.

White Sheet Cake

The other day, I decided to try this recipe, but instead of making it as a regular sheet cake, I decided to make cupcakes.

I think I found this recipe on Allrecipes.com, and had saved it. I've been meaning to try it for some time now, but didn't actually make it until now. It turned out well, and I hope to make it many more times in the future.

Here are some pictures of the process.

3rd Annual Pie Off

Saturday, September 28th is the local library's 3rd annual Pie Off, and I hope to enter it. Or, at least, taste the pies that are entered.

I love baking, and pies are one of my favorite foods. So, hopefully I will remember this event. It's free, and I don't have to register to participate.

If I do participate in this, I will try and take pictures, and post them on here. I can't wait until the 28th!!

Sugar Biscuits

Today, I decided to make one of the recipes from the Harry Potter cookbook I got for Christmas a few years ago.

I made Sugar Biscuits (what the British call cookies), and they turned out well. I made them once before, and they were really good. So I decided to make them again. Here are some pictures of the process.

I love baking, so I enjoyed making these. If you love baking, or cookies, and love/like Harry Potter like I do, I think you would enjoy these cookies. Check out the Harry Potter cookbook, and try some of the recipes out. They are really good!!

Well, that's all for now. More to come later.

Bakeless Sweets

I recently checked out a cookbook called Bakeless Sweets: Pudding, Panna Cotta, Fluff, Icebox Cake, and More No-Bake Desserts by Faith Durand.

I was looking at the recipes in the book, and they seem like really good recipes. I will hopefully get it this year, maybe as a Christmas present, or buy it myself. I love baking, and desserts/sweets are my favorite things to make.

I love finding out about cookbooks I've never heard of before, and finding recipes in it that I would want to make. The recipes in this book are perfect for summer days, especially when it's too hot to bake/cook anything.

I will definitely post about the recipes I make from this book, whenever I get the chance to. These seem like great recipes!

Well, that's all for now. More to come later.
